Making Sustainability Transparent: Our First VSME Sustainability Report
Sustainability has been part of who we are for generations. For more than 100 years, responsible use of natural resources has been firmly rooted in our corporate philosophy. Our products are based on natural, renewable raw materials, reflecting our long-standing commitment to responsible resource use.
At the same time, we see sustainability as an integral part of our corporate responsibility. Climate change, growing demands across the supply chain, and the increasing importance of sustainable business practices are creating new challenges for companies. We are committed to playing our part and continuously improving the way we operate.
A Structured and Verifiable Approach to Sustainability
With our first sustainability report for the whole Peter Greven Group, we are making our sustainability activities, goals, and progress transparent in a structured way. For our sustainability reporting, we deliberately chose the European VSME Standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs; VS in the future).
Transparency as a Basis for Continuous Improvement
Our first sustainability report is more than a snapshot of where we stand today. It is also an important starting point for the further development of our sustainability reporting. We aim to continuously improve our data, processes, and targets and to regularly report on our progress going forward, even without a legal reporting obligation. For us, sustainability is an ongoing journey. One that means taking responsibility, identifying opportunities for improvement, and moving forward step by step.
Transparency and credibility are particularly important to us. The content of our sustainability report has undergone an external DNK plausibility check. This reflects our commitment not only to making sustainability an integral part of our corporate philosophy, but also to consistently implement these values in our reporting.
